EdgeUp Consulting was founded by Kerry Kennedy, an operations and finance systems consultant with more than 15 years of experience in small manufacturing and service businesses. I specialize in fixing the disconnect between the shop floor and the P and L so owners can finally trust what their numbers are telling them.

I work with small manufacturers whose quote to cash process has gotten messy. Sales, the shop, and finance are often using different versions of the truth, which makes it hard to price work, track jobs, or understand margins. I step in as the translator between operations and finance, map how work actually moves from quote to job to invoice, and redesign the workflow and data so everything lines up.

My approach is practical and steady. We start by seeing the current process clearly, then define a simple, workable future state and build the habits and documentation to support it. I work alongside your existing team, bookkeeper or CPA, and any implementation partners so that the systems you already own support the way you run the business instead of fighting it.

Quote-to-Cash Diagnostic & Roadmap
When quotes, jobs, and invoices don’t line up, everyone feels it: the shop, finance, and the owner.
I start by mapping how work actually moves from quote to job to shipment to invoice in your business. We identify where data is duplicated, changed, or lost, and where handoffs break down between teams.
From there, I design a simpler future-state quote-to-cash process and a 90–180 day action plan to get there, using the systems you already own.

Fractional Ops–Finance Systems Lead
Some manufacturers don’t need a full-time operations or finance leader, but they do need someone to own how work and numbers flow through their systems.
In a fractional role, I provide ongoing oversight of your quote-to-cash workflow and the data behind it.
I regularly review issues from the shop and finance, refine processes and documentation, and work with your bookkeeper/CPA and tech partners to keep systems and reports aligned.
You keep day-to-day ownership in-house, while I focus on making sure ops and finance are always working from the same version of the truth.
